Salini Impregilo wins Czech highway contract valued at €225m
MILAN, February 06, 2019 – Salini Impregilo has won a contract to build a section of a highway in the south of the Czech Republic valued at about €225 million excluding taxes, helping consolidate its presence in Eastern Europe where it has activities in Poland and Slovakia.
Salini Impregilo and its joint-venture partner Doprastav of Slovakia will build Lot 2 of a section of the D3 highway that bypasses the town of Ceskie Hodejovice near the Austrian border. The section will be 12.53 kilometres long.
The most important part of the project, which will last 54 months, is the construction of a 780-metre-long bridge across the Malsi River.
The contract follows one acquired in August in Poland where Salini Impregilo will design and build a section of the S7 Expressway for €250 million.
Previous projects developed by Salini Impregilo in the Czech Republic include civic buildings like thejanske Lazne Pediatric Hospital, the Kovo and Motokov office towers.
